Postcard 2 Events & Activities

Years of argument and agreement have created a sense of community on P2, and this fellowship extends beyond this list to other activities.

List members meet up at music venues in their home towns or when they travel. Some folks stage or attend parties at the annual SXSW festival in Austin. Some of us meet up at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass in San Francisco or at Merlefest in Wilkesboro, North Carolina.

In 1997, a group of P2 folks organized Twangfest, an alternative-country festival promoting music and friendship, in St. Louis, Missouri. The first Twangfest was so successful that it has been repeated and expanded every subsequent year, and is now a non-profit organization. Last year the 11th Twangfest was held, and we're hoping for a 12th.

The Fluff List began as a spin-off of P2, for less serious and less musical interchanges, and is pretty much its own list these days.

The No Depression Country Club is an active and interesting discussion list that began as an AOL list quite some time ago.
